Which Regulation Governs the NIB in 2026?

Government Regulation (PP) No. 28 of 2025 on Risk-Based Business Licensing governs the NIB in 2026. PP 28/2025 revoked PP 5/2021, which had replaced PP 24/2018. Implementing rules, including the NIB format, are set out in BKPM Regulation No. 5 of 2025.

Does KBLI 2025 Change an Existing NIB?

AHU is the Ministry of Law’s register of legal entities, and it is the most reliable way to confirm that a PT exists. An AHU company search shows whether the company has a Ministry approval (SK) number and, through a paid profile, its directors, commissioners, shareholders, and capital.

1. Go to ahu.go.id and open the Perseroan (limited liability company) search.
2. Enter the company name and complete the captcha. The name search is free.
3. To see full details, order a voucher: IDR 50,000 for the latest profile (Profil Terakhir) or IDR 500,000 for the full profile history (Profil Lengkap), paid at a designated bank within two days, according to the AHU guide.
4. Enter the voucher number to download the profile, which is also emailed and remains downloadable for seven days.

A company can confirm its own tax standing by requesting a KSWP (Konfirmasi Status Wajib Pajak) in Coretax. A KSWP is “valid” only if the company’s name and NPWP match DJP records and its annual tax returns for the last two years have been filed.

KSWP matters beyond tax: some licensing services check it before approval, for example import licenses under Trade Minister Regulation 16/2025. What Is the NPP (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Company Registration Number)?

The NPP (Nomor Pendaftaran Perusahaan) is the employer registration number issued by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Indonesia’s employment social security agency. It is not issued by the Ministry of Law. The NPP links the company to its employees’ JHT, JP, JKK, JKM, and JKP coverage, and it is needed to register workers and pay BPJS contributions.
